Events - 10.11.09 Capisco Basketball Challenge
The HÅG brand was a hit in the month of November across the four states – Darwin, Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra. Iken officially launched the new chairs FUTU and CAPISCO to the Australian design industry with cocktail functions in all states. The Brisbane event was pumping with the first ever ‘office chair basketball game’, HÅG CAPISCO BASKETBALL CHALLENGE held at Peugeot Brisbane (a proud supporter of Iken’s events). The event also raised funds for the Midnight Basketball Charity helping ‘at risk’ youths in Australia. Over 150 guests attended to watch eleven of the leading design firms (Brisbane) play on the night. The players were colourful in their costumes, playful and competitive. The grand final match between Wilson Architects (Wilson Nuggets) and IA Group (We Bruise Easily) was also intense and fast. Wilson Architects took out the winning trophy (also taking home three Capisco chairs worth over $4500) with an impressive score of 26 beating IA Group with a score of 15.
With the success of the first match, Iken and HÅG will be taking the HÅG CAPISCO BASKETBALL CHALLENGE to Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne in 2010. Watch out for your invitations to participate in the challenge early February!
