Iken evolved from Interlink Commercial Furniture in 2006 as an initiative to progress in providing unique, quality and innovative products that enrich people’s work environment, culture and performance. The company has grown since it began in 1985 and is listed as one of Australia’s Top 500 private companies (BRW August 2003).

Iken has continued to grow with international alliances and ongoing business relationships with many of Australia’s companies. Iken is a 100% Australian owned company whose directors have over 30 years of experience in the design/manufacture and supply and installations for all forms of commercial fit outs. Having prominent presence within the workplace environment since 1985, Iken continues to grow with the full support of a dedicated and experienced team, and recently became a member of the Green Building Council of Australia.

The Iken design range includes innovative and unique designs from local and international manufacturers including Gispen from The Netherlands, Kusch + Co from Germany, Martela from Finland and Okamura from Japan. Other Australian designs represented include commercial seating from STEM and most recently the new STAN workstation designed by local architect Anthony Kotarac providing “a genuine new design stimulus for the merging of everyday living and work”.
